Not surprisingly, in 1982 Matt McDonald was born on one, and since then he’s lived like each day is going to be his last. Home to more seemingly incongruent skills than anyone thought possible, Matt’s brain is a very peculiar place. A former graduate student in Mechanical Engineering, he spends his vast, oceanic expanses of free time (note sarcasm) writing poetry; jamming with his sludge/noise/art band i, fanblades (www.60hzhum.com); artifying things; developing robotic birds, dimmers (apparently), and tube amps; and being in love. He also claims that mechanical engineering and poetry are really the same thing, but nobody seems to believe him.
